Who you are
You have 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field, demonstrating your ability to think strategically and quantitatively. Your expertise in Excel is extensive, including proficiency in VBA, pivot tables, and power pivots, which you have used to build and maintain reports and dashboards. You are skilled in SQL, allowing you to extract and analyze data effectively. Your background includes 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience, equipping you with the knowledge to define requirements and draw business insights from complex data.
You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau enhances your ability to convey data-driven recommendations. You are adept at using customer segmentation and behavioral analytics to inform assortment strategies, ensuring that your analyses align with business goals.
What you'll do
In this role, you will analyze customer, transactional, and market data to identify trends and opportunities that drive assortment strategy. You will build and maintain reports and dashboards that track assortment performance across stores, categories, channels, and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include designing and measuring test-and-learn experiments to evaluate assortment plan effectiveness. You will partner with Category Merchants, tech partners, operational teams, and leadership to align analytics with business goals, ensuring that your insights lead to cross-functional action.
You will be responsible for translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations, driving strategic decisions that optimize item selection. Your ability to present findings clearly will be crucial in influencing stakeholders and ensuring that the assortment strategy is data-driven and effective. You will also be expected to stay updated on key business trends, continuously refining your analyses to support the evolving needs of the business.
