Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in compliance management, particularly within the payments or financial services sector — you've successfully designed and implemented compliance policies that align with regulatory requirements and business objectives. Your expertise in risk assessment frameworks allows you to identify potential compliance risks and develop effective mitigation strategies. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to present compliance updates to senior leadership and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
You are adept at managing regulatory relationships and coordinating audit responses — your experience includes engaging with regulators and preparing responses to inquiries. You understand the importance of integrating compliance requirements into product decisions and have a proven track record of delivering compliance training programs across various business functions. Your analytical mindset helps you assess the impact of regulatory changes on business operations, ensuring operational excellence in risk management.
What you'll do
In this role, you will join Amazon Pay's Risk and Compliance Solutions team to shape the regulatory framework of our payments business in India. You will design and implement compliance policies and procedures for payment services, ensuring they meet regulatory standards. Leading regulatory change management initiatives will be a key responsibility, where you will assess the business impact of regulatory updates and collaborate with product, legal, and business teams to implement necessary changes.
You will develop risk assessment frameworks and mitigation strategies, creating a robust compliance environment that supports our growing payments ecosystem. Additionally, you will create and deliver compliance training programs to enhance awareness and understanding of compliance requirements across the organization. Managing regulatory relationships and coordinating audit responses will be essential to maintaining compliance and operational excellence.
Your day-to-day activities will involve reviewing regulatory updates, participating in risk assessment meetings, and enhancing compliance frameworks. You will engage with regulators and prepare responses to regulatory inquiries, ensuring that Amazon Pay remains compliant with all applicable regulations.
