Who you are

You are a proactive individual with a strong commitment to workplace health and safety. You have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team to promote safety standards. You understand the importance of compliance and are eager to engage with the workforce to foster a safe working environment. You have experience with Microsoft Office products and applications, which will aid you in maintaining necessary documentation and reports. You are willing to learn and adapt to the tools and processes used within the WHS function at Amazon.

What you'll do

As a WHS Coordinator, you will be responsible for identifying and informing management of compliance issues and safety risks through regular audits. You will facilitate the incident investigation process and maintain required paperwork to comply with Amazon and local regulations. Your role will involve entering safety incident information into the internal database promptly and performing safety observations and audits. You will coach area managers and other staff to ensure they complete their safety responsibilities effectively. Depending on the business unit and location, you may also have additional responsibilities related to fire prevention and hazardous waste management. You will participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion, contributing to a culture of safety within the Fulfilment Center.
