Who you are

You are a regulatory leader with a deep understanding of Europe's telecommunications landscape, possessing the ability to navigate complex compliance challenges and turn them into competitive advantages. Your experience includes developing and executing licensing strategies across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring that all necessary authorizations for satellite systems and services are secured. You have a proven track record of engaging with regulators, trade associations, and industry stakeholders to advocate for favorable policies related to telecommunications and satellite broadband.

You excel in identifying regulatory risks before they become blockers, maintaining compliance across various jurisdictions, and collaborating cross-functionally with business, legal, policy, and engineering teams. Your strong communication skills enable you to represent your organization effectively in national and regional telecommunications organizations, building relationships with government officials and industry leaders.

Desirable

Experience in satellite communications or broadband services is a plus, as is familiarity with NGSO-related regulations at national, regional, and international levels. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the development and execution of licensing strategies across European countries, securing authorizations for satellite systems, gateway stations, user equipment, and spectrum use. You will shape the regulatory environment by engaging with regulators and industry stakeholders to advocate for policies that support the growth of satellite broadband services. Your responsibilities will include identifying regulatory risks and ensuring compliance across jurisdictions, enabling the delivery of Kuiper services at scale.

You will represent Amazon Leo in national and regional telecommunications organizations, building relationships with government officials and advocating for favorable policies related to NGSO systems and spectrum access. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the complex regulatory landscape and ensuring that Amazon can connect millions of customers with satellite broadband services.
