Who you are
You have a strong background in immigration compliance and risk assessment, with experience engaging with legal teams to document and mitigate risks associated with U.S. immigration. Your ability to develop and improve compliance controls is essential, as is your experience in conducting audits and maintaining documentation for corporate protocols. You are skilled in identifying key performance indicators that quantify adherence to immigration obligations and can effectively communicate changes in risks to leadership.
You possess excellent organizational skills and can manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all compliance measures are met. Your experience in training staff and conducting audits demonstrates your commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance. You thrive in collaborative environments and can engage with various stakeholders, including internal legal teams and external counsel, to prioritize risks and develop effective control measures.
What you'll do
As an Immigration Specialist at Amazon, you will be responsible for the identification and mitigation of regulatory risks associated with U.S. immigration. You will document risks and engage with internal legal and external counsel to review and update the risk framework. Your role will involve executing and assessing control efficacy, continually feeding results into the risk framework, and owning the documentation of U.S. compliance controls. You will also identify, develop, and improve key performance indicators that quantify adherence to immigration obligations.
You will run monthly cross-functional meetings to inform leadership of changes in U.S. risks and drive projects to completion that aim to reduce these risks. Additionally, you will maintain important documents, conduct training for corporate front desk staff, and engage with security organizations to implement and maintain response protocols. Your leadership will be crucial during FDNS visits and in responding to Interested Party PAF requests, as well as conducting audits to assess Public Access Files and PERM Audit File completeness.
