Who you are
You have a strong background in controls engineering, with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). You are familiar with various components of data centers, including generators, uninterruptable power sources, and electrical switchgear, and understand how these systems interact through communication protocols. Your project management skills enable you to oversee the lifecycle of data center operations effectively, ensuring that all systems function optimally.
You are adept at using Amazon leadership principles to develop new processes and standards in the controls space. Your technical expertise allows you to provide support and training to internal customers and stakeholders, guiding them through the design, configuration, and operation of BMS and EPMS systems. You are committed to continuous improvement and innovation in your field, always looking for ways to enhance system performance and reliability.
Desirable
Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action processes is a plus, as is familiarity with the specific technologies used in AWS data centers. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly makes you an effective trainer and mentor.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of a highly motivated team focused on maintaining and improving the controls systems within AWS data centers. You will troubleshoot BMS and EPMS-related issues, performing Root Cause Analysis to identify and resolve problems efficiently. Your responsibilities will include training internal customers on system design and operation, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to manage these critical systems effectively.
You will also be responsible for reviewing maintenance results and action items, taking proactive steps to address any issues that arise. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that all systems are functioning as intended and that any necessary improvements are implemented promptly. You will play a key role in the lifecycle of data center operations, providing technical assistance and support to ensure optimal performance.
