Job Description
Who you are
You are a talented attorney with 5+ years of legal experience, ideally with a strong regulatory and transactional background. You have a Juris Doctor and are a member of one state bar or equivalent. You are proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to apply sound, pragmatic judgment in ambiguous situations. Your experience in payments, credit/lending, or financial services is a plus, and you are comfortable navigating complex legal issues in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
In this role, you will counsel Amazon's Payments business teams on product and service launches, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will negotiate complex transactions with financial service partners and provide ongoing legal advice on a wide range of matters. Your responsibilities will include structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements related to domestic and international payment and credit/lending products. You will also advise on new program development in regulated areas and resolve issues that arise in commercial relationships.
