Amazon is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to support its payments legal team. You'll provide legal advice on product launches, negotiate transactions, and counsel on regulatory matters. This role requires a Juris Doctor and 2+ years of legal experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You are a talented attorney with a strong regulatory and transactional background, ideally with 2+ years of legal experience. You hold a Juris Doctor and are a member of one state bar or equivalent. You are proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to apply sound, pragmatic judgment in ambiguous situations. Your experience in payments, credit/lending, or financial services is a plus, and you are committed to developing innovative solutions to novel legal questions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will counsel the Amazon Payments business teams on product and service launches, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will negotiate complex transactions with financial service partners, structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements related to domestic and international payment and credit/lending products. You will provide ongoing legal counseling on a wide range of matters, advising the business on regulatory and compliance initiatives. Your contributions will help shape the legal framework for Amazon's rapidly growing payments businesses.
