Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in engineering, particularly in data center operations and controls. Your experience includes managing complex systems and troubleshooting issues related to building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside software, hardware, and network engineers to ensure the highest standards of safety and security in data center operations.

You are adept at project management, capable of developing new processes and standards that enhance operational efficiency. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by a keen understanding of the various components that make up data center infrastructure, including generators, uninterruptable power sources, and power distribution units. You are committed to continuous improvement and innovation in the controls space, leveraging Amazon's leadership principles to guide your work.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining critical systems that support AWS data centers. You will collaborate with a diverse team to ensure that all components of the data center infrastructure operate seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include managing projects that enhance the efficiency and reliability of data center operations, as well as developing and implementing new processes that align with industry best practices.

You will work closely with various stakeholders across AWS to deliver solutions that meet customer needs while optimizing costs. Your role will involve analyzing system performance and identifying areas for improvement, ensuring that AWS data centers can provide seemingly infinite capacity to customers. You will also be expected to contribute to a culture of safety and security, advocating for best practices in all aspects of data center operations.
