Who you are
You are a motivated and goal-driven individual looking to join a dynamic team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you understand the importance of maintaining high operational standards and ensuring that all data center equipment supports customer services with better than 99.999% uptime. You are physically capable of handling the demands of the job, including walking on uneven terrain, working at heights, and lifting heavy objects. You thrive in environments that require coordination and precision, and you are comfortable working in noisy settings.
Desirable
While specific technical skills are not required, a background in facility operations or data center management would be beneficial. You are open to learning and adapting to the fast-paced environment of AWS, and you value diverse experiences that contribute to your growth.
What you'll do
In this role, you will serve as a cornerstone of facility operations, supporting Amazon within its owned and operated data centers. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all data center equipment is functioning optimally and maintaining operational standards. You will participate in regular maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, working closely with other team members to coordinate efforts and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently. You will also be involved in physical tasks that require strength and coordination, such as lifting and moving equipment, and you will need to be comfortable working in various physical environments.
