Job Description

Who you are

You are eager to start your career in data center operations and have a keen interest in technology and infrastructure systems. You possess strong attention to detail and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You have a basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and are willing to learn and grow in your role. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with others to solve problems and improve processes. You have excellent communication skills, which help you document and report on your findings effectively.

What you'll do

As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you will conduct daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment, ensuring 24/7 reliability and availability. You will monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS) to maintain optimal performance. You will assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events, ensuring they are resolved within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA). Your responsibilities will also include performing rack installs and decommissioning, as well as conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment. You will engage in technical writing to support the change management program and manage daily work requests to resolution.
