Who you are
You are an entry-level technician eager to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the operations of some of the worldβs most powerful data centers. You have a foundational understanding of AWS and are ready to learn and grow in your role. You are detail-oriented and capable of monitoring and recording information from various systems to ensure reliability and availability.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside teams of front-line responders. Your ability to assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events will be crucial in maintaining operational excellence. You are committed to learning and evolving, understanding that this is key to success in the data center industry.
Desirable
Experience with building management systems or electrical power management systems would be a plus. Familiarity with technical writing and change management programs can enhance your contributions to the team. You are open to feedback and eager to develop your skills further.
What you'll do
In this role, you will perform daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment. Your efforts will ensure that our data centers maintain 24/7 reliability and availability. You will monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS), assisting in troubleshooting any issues that arise.
You will be responsible for performing rack installs and decommissioning within internal service level agreements (SLA). Your technical skills will be put to the test as you engage in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment. You will also contribute to technical writing to support our change management program, ensuring that all processes are documented accurately.
Your role will involve monitoring daily work requests and managing them to resolution, collaborating with various teams to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technology and practices, helping to define the future of data center operations.
