Job Description

Who you are

You are an entry-level technician with a keen interest in data center operations and infrastructure management. You have a foundational understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and you are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail ensures that you monitor and record critical information accurately, contributing to the reliability of data center operations.

You possess strong technical writing skills, which enable you to document processes and support change management programs effectively. You are comfortable working with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS), and you have a proactive approach to troubleshooting facility and rack-level events.

What you'll do

As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you will conduct daily building rounds to monitor and record information from various equipment, ensuring 24/7 reliability and availability. You will assist in troubleshooting issues within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA) and perform rack installations and decommissioning as needed. Your role will involve preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.

You will collaborate with teams of front-line responders to implement the newest technology and work practices, adapting to the changing demands of the market. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring daily work requests and managing them to resolution, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
