What you'll do

In this role, you will manage a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, as well as supply chain specialists and operations managers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of AWS data centers, which involves overseeing the maintenance of servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. You will collaborate with various teams across AWS to uphold the highest standards for safety and security while providing reliable cloud services to customers.

You will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. This includes mentoring team members, sponsoring projects, and proposing technical solutions that align with AWS's goals. You will also participate in an on-call rotation, addressing urgent issues as they arise and ensuring that your team is prepared to respond effectively.
