Job Description
Who you are
You are a detail-oriented individual with a foundational understanding of AWS infrastructure and logistics. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside software, hardware, and network engineers to ensure the smooth operation of data centers. Your ability to track inventory and manage stock levels is crucial to supporting build and repair activities.
You possess strong organizational skills and are comfortable working with various stakeholders, including procurement and engineering teams. Your proactive approach to problem-solving allows you to optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle, ensuring that all locations maintain proper stock levels.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Logistics Technician, you will review data center inventory and manage inbound shipments to support ongoing demand. You will collaborate closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately. Your role will involve creating plans to optimize logistics and tracking inventory locations, movements, age, and turns.
You will work with the Logistics Manager to develop strategies that enhance the efficiency of the supply chain. This includes interfacing directly with vendors and participating in the procurement process for new parts. Your contributions will help maintain the highest standards for safety and security within the data center environment.
