You are comfortable participating in an on-call rotation and are ready to tackle challenges head-on. Your problem-solving skills enable you to diagnose issues effectively and contribute to maintaining the heartbeat of the cloud.
Desirable
Experience with cloud infrastructure or data center operations is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with hardware diagnostics and repair processes will help you excel in this role. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential, as is a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Technician at Amazon, you will play a critical role in maintaining the AWS global infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include performing in-depth hardware and network diagnostics to identify issues and executing physical repairs as needed. You will collaborate with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers to ensure seamless data center operations that power millions of businesses worldwide. You will participate in an on-call rotation, responding to incidents and ensuring that our data centers operate at peak efficiency. Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of AWS services, making you an integral part of our mission to provide the best cloud infrastructure.
You will also be involved in supporting all AWS data centers, which includes working with servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in data center management, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
