Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, particularly in designing and managing large-scale data warehouse solutions. Your expertise includes working with various platforms such as RDBMS, Columnar, and Cloud technologies, allowing you to architect robust data solutions for enterprise needs. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to define key business questions and develop data sets that provide actionable insights. Your passion for working with massive datasets drives you to innovate and improve data engineering patterns, particularly in cloud architectures.

You are skilled in integrating and optimizing data pipelines, especially with platforms like Redshift, and you have a solid understanding of data modeling and ETL processes. Your analytical mindset allows you to proactively identify efficiency and cost improvement opportunities within data systems. You thrive in environments that challenge you to think critically about data and its impact on business decisions.

Desirable

Experience with big data technologies and frameworks such as Apache Spark or Hadoop would be a plus. Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques can enhance your ability to communicate insights effectively. A background in machine learning or data science can also be beneficial, as it allows you to contribute to predictive analytics initiatives within the team.

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data engineering patterns that leverage cloud architecture. You will work closely with the AFT team to design and implement data pipelines that capture data throughout the fulfillment process, ensuring that the data is accurate, timely, and accessible for analysis. Your role will involve migrating existing data pipelines to new architectures as needed, enhancing the efficiency of data processing and storage.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide solutions that drive business outcomes.
