Who you are
You have a strong understanding of last mile operations and are eager to support a team of over 20 hourly associates. Your focus is on maximizing customer satisfaction while ensuring safety and operational efficiency. You are comfortable managing metrics related to attrition, payroll, and delivery efficiency, and you understand the importance of instilling a culture of customer obsession and safety within your team.
You are a natural coach and mentor, ready to guide your team to meet performance objectives while fostering positive employee relations. Your ability to communicate effectively with various internal teams will help you support process improvements and contribute to the strategic goals of the delivery station.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the delivery station, ensuring that all safety metrics are met and that your team is executing business goals effectively. You will support process improvement activities to address inefficiencies and help launch new delivery models in collaboration with project teams. Flexibility is key, as you will need to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational demands.
You will create a balance between hard work and a fun environment for your associates, ensuring that they feel supported and motivated. Your role will involve continuous improvement of delivery processes, focusing on achieving operational KPIs and cost goals outlined in the strategic plan. You will also assist in purchasing tools and consumables necessary for the station's operations.
