Who you are
You have a strong background in real estate development and project management, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex industrial projects. Your experience includes end-to-end ownership of the project lifecycle, from site evaluation and acquisition through to construction and operational handover. You are comfortable operating both strategically and tactically, ensuring that projects align with long-term operational needs.
You possess excellent financial stewardship skills, capable of conducting feasibility analyses, investment evaluations, and budget management to optimize economic returns. Your ability to identify strategic development opportunities ahead of capacity needs gives you a competitive edge in site selection and development timing. You thrive in collaborative environments and are adept at navigating the complexities of large-scale real estate projects.
What you'll do
As a Senior Development Manager, you will lead proactive site sourcing and strategic development initiatives across North America, ensuring that Amazon's fulfillment network is equipped to meet future operational demands. You will drive the end-to-end project lifecycle, overseeing site evaluation, acquisition, entitlements, design development, construction, and operational handover for complex industrial developments. Your role will involve developing and executing financial strategies that include feasibility analyses and risk mitigation to ensure optimal economic returns while preserving operational flexibility.
You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and finance teams, to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Your leadership will be crucial in creating competitive advantages in site selection and development timing, ultimately contributing to the strategic value of Amazon's fulfillment network. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior team members and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
