Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in electrical engineering or controls systems, with experience in managing building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). You are skilled in troubleshooting and project management, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively. Your ability to work collaboratively with internal customers and stakeholders is essential, as you will assist in the design, configuration, and operation of complex systems. You are familiar with various components of data centers, including generators, uninterruptible power sources, and cooling systems, and understand how they interact through control systems.
You possess a proactive mindset, always looking for ways to innovate and improve processes within the controls space. Your experience with project management allows you to develop scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for BMS and EPMS projects. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
Desirable
Experience with Amazon leadership principles is a plus, as you will be expected to embody these values in your work. Familiarity with open and proprietary communications protocols used in control systems will enhance your ability to succeed in this role. A background in data center operations or maintenance will also be beneficial.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining the BMS and EPMS systems within Amazon's data centers. You will work closely with a team of experts to ensure that all mechanical and electrical systems are functioning optimally. Your responsibilities will include training and assisting internal customers with the creation and operation of these systems, as well as providing technical support throughout the data center's lifecycle.
You will review quarterly maintenance results for BMS and EPMS, taking necessary actions to resolve any issues that arise. Additionally, you will develop project scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for new initiatives requested by customers. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders will be crucial as you navigate the complexities of data center operations.
