Who you are
You have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). Your troubleshooting skills are top-notch, and you excel in project management, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively. You are familiar with various data center components, including generators, uninterruptable power sources, and cooling systems, and understand how they interact through local control systems. You possess a Top Secret security clearance and are committed to maintaining it throughout your employment.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside motivated experts and innovators in the data center industry. Your ability to develop new processes and standards while adhering to Amazon's leadership principles sets you apart. You are detail-oriented and have a proactive approach to problem-solving, always looking for ways to innovate in the controls space.
Desirable
Experience with advanced control systems and protocols is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest technologies in the data center industry. You are open to learning and adapting to new tools and methodologies that enhance operational efficiency.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of BMS and EPMS. You will train and assist internal customers and stakeholders, ensuring they understand how to utilize these systems effectively. Your role will involve troubleshooting issues as they arise and managing projects that enhance the functionality of the data center.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes that improve system performance and reliability. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of data center operations, and you will be expected to innovate continuously, finding new ways to optimize control systems.
You will also be involved in maintaining documentation related to system configurations and operational procedures, ensuring that all processes are clearly outlined and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
