Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in electrical engineering with experience in designing complex electrical systems — you've worked on layouts, schematics, and documentation for fabrication, ensuring high-quality production transitions. Your expertise includes developing PCBA and module designs, such as compute modules and sensors, which are crucial for robotic applications.

You are skilled in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to bring innovative robotic industrial automation solutions from concept to production — your ability to write requirements and functional specifications ensures that projects meet both technical and operational standards. You understand the importance of design verification plans and functional test procedures, which are essential for maintaining high-quality standards in complex systems.

Your experience includes developing hardware diagnostics tools and training materials to support field operations — you thrive in environments where you can resolve issues in high-complexity system installations, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction. You are familiar with coordinating with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality organizations to facilitate production transitions, demonstrating your ability to manage cross-functional relationships effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing electrical systems for Amazon's advanced robotics solutions — your work will directly contribute to the development of automation technologies that enhance operational efficiency. You will collaborate with engineers and designers to create adaptable automation solutions that work safely alongside humans in dynamic environments.

You will take the lead in designing complex electrical systems, including creating layouts, schematics, and BOM documentation — your attention to detail will ensure that all designs meet the necessary standards for fabrication and quality control. You will also write functional specifications and design verification plans to guide the testing and implementation phases of projects.

As part of your responsibilities, you will develop field support hardware diagnostics tools and documentation — your training will empower teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively, enhancing the overall performance of robotic systems. You will work closely with operations, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure that designs transition smoothly into production, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
