Who you are

You have a strong background in electrical engineering with a focus on satellite and ground system design. Your experience includes schematic design, component selection, and circuit analysis, which you have applied in complex programs. You are adept at leading small teams and collaborating with diverse groups, including government agencies, to deliver innovative solutions. You possess excellent analytical skills and can conduct trades and analyses to meet customer goals effectively. Your communication skills enable you to prepare clear reports and proposals that resonate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are committed to understanding customer needs and translating them into actionable engineering tasks. You have a proven track record of working in fast-paced environments and can adapt to changing requirements while maintaining high standards of quality.

Desirable

Experience with satellite communication systems or government contracts would be a plus. Familiarity with advanced simulation tools and methodologies is also desirable, as is a passion for leveraging technology to improve connectivity for underserved communities.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the design and analysis of various electronic subsystems for satellite communications. You will lead tasks such as schematic design, circuit analysis, and layout review, ensuring that all designs meet stringent performance and reliability standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design reviews and contribute to joint reports and proposals. Your role will involve hands-on testing and board bring-up, where you will validate designs against specifications. You will also be expected to mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence. As part of the ALG team, you will play a critical role in advancing Amazon's mission to provide high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities.
