You are skilled in optimizing test infrastructure and processes, ensuring that production acceptance testing meets high standards. You are also familiar with export control laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in your hiring practices.
Desirable
Experience with satellite systems or aerospace engineering is a plus. Familiarity with failure mode analysis and root cause investigations will help you excel in this role. You are comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams, including development and production teams, to drive improvements in testing processes and infrastructure.
What you'll do
As the Propulsion Test Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for the design, build, optimization, and execution of propulsion testing for Amazon Leo's satellite systems. Your primary focus will be on characterizing and validating propulsion flight hardware, ensuring that all subsystems meet performance and reliability standards. You will oversee the development of test objectives aimed at improving understanding of failure modes, which will inform design improvements and production acceptance testing. Additionally, you will manage non-conformance investigations and root cause analyses of on-orbit anomalies, collaborating closely with the Development Test Team to support scaling and enhancements of test infrastructure.
You will be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Your role will involve strategic planning for testing initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines. You will also engage with stakeholders across the organization to communicate testing outcomes and drive decision-making processes.
