Job Description
Who you are
You are a hands-on technician with a strong background in electrical and mechanical operations, particularly within data centers. You have experience troubleshooting and maintaining critical equipment such as diesel generators, UPSs, and HVAC systems. Your attention to detail ensures that all safety procedures are followed while performing your duties. You are a US Citizen and currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable working 12-hour shifts, including rotating schedules. Your ability to perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and write clear procedures makes you an asset to the team. You are committed to providing excellent support to Data Center Operations technicians and ensuring that all equipment operates within internal SLAs.
What you'll do
In this role, you will operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment within the data center, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. You will troubleshoot facility equipment and rack-level events, performing limited maintenance tasks such as filter changes and rack power installations. Your daily responsibilities will include taking operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds, logging temperatures, voltages, and currents.
You will collaborate closely with other technicians to provide support and ensure that all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work. Your role will also involve writing procedures and conducting root cause analysis of equipment failures to improve operational efficiency. You will be part of a dedicated team that provides 24/7 coverage, ensuring that the data center operates smoothly and efficiently.
