Who you are

As an Engineering Operation Technician, you are a critical guardian of technological infrastructure. You have hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting, ensuring seamless operations that power global digital experiences. Your expertise contributes to maintaining an extraordinary 99.999% uptime, keeping the digital world running smoothly and efficiently. You are comfortable working with stand-by diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and various cooling systems. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside a diverse team of engineers and specialists.

Desirable

Experience with AWS infrastructure services is a plus, as you will support all AWS data centers and the associated servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques and a proactive approach to problem-solving will help you excel in this role. You are eager to learn and grow within the company, contributing to the success of the team and the organization.

What you'll do

In this role, you will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot Data Center Operations' Mission Critical Facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical and mechanical systems are functioning optimally, which includes working with switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, wet cell batteries, CRAC units, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, pumps, and motors. Your hands-on approach will be essential in identifying and resolving issues quickly to minimize downtime. You will collaborate with other technicians and engineers to implement best practices and improve operational efficiency.

You will also participate in regular maintenance checks and inspections, documenting any findings and actions taken. Your role will involve working with various teams to ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that the facility operates within compliance standards. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and you will be encouraged to share your insights and suggestions for improvement.
