You have a foundational understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintaining mission-critical equipment. What you'll do
As an Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center. This includes performing limited maintenance tasks such as filter changes and battery system preventive maintenance. You will troubleshoot facility and rack-level events, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively.
You will work closely with contractors to supervise servicing and preventive maintenance tasks, ensuring that all work meets Amazon's high standards. Your role will involve maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities and operational issues, contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the data center. You will also be on-call to address any urgent operational issues that may arise, ensuring that the data center maintains better than 99.99% uptime.
