Who you are

You are an entry-level technician eager to work in one of the world's most advanced data centers. You have a foundational understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and you are ready to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. You possess strong technical writing skills, which will help you document processes and support change management effectively.

You are comfortable working with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS). You have a keen eye for detail and are committed to ensuring the reliability and availability of critical infrastructure. You thrive in collaborative settings and are excited to work alongside experienced professionals in the field.

What you'll do

As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you will conduct daily building rounds to monitor and record information from various equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. You will assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events, working within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA) to resolve issues promptly. Your responsibilities will also include performing rack installations and decommissioning, as well as preventive maintenance and root cause analysis of electrical and mechanical equipment.

You will engage in technical writing to support the change management program, documenting processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Monitoring daily work requests and managing them to resolution will be a key part of your role, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner. You will have the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and work practices, contributing to the ongoing evolution of Amazon's data center operations.
