Who you are
You are a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician with a strong foundation in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You have experience with automated packaging and distribution equipment, and you enjoy mentoring junior technicians to help them grow in their roles. Your technical skills include working with Arduino and Embedded Linux, which you apply to ensure the reliability of equipment in a fast-paced environment.
You thrive in a collaborative setting, working closely with the Operations Maintenance team to drive continuous improvement. Your attention to detail and problem-solving abilities allow you to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, ensuring that operations run smoothly. You are committed to safety and quality, understanding the importance of maintaining high standards in your work.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various automated systems within Amazon's facilities. You will work hands-on with robotics and material handling equipment, ensuring that all systems are operational and efficient. Your role will involve troubleshooting equipment failures and implementing solutions to prevent future issues.
You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them develop their skills. This mentorship will be crucial in fostering a strong team dynamic and ensuring that all team members are equipped to handle the challenges of the job.
As part of the Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team, you will contribute to the overall success of Amazon's operations by ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally. You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices.
