Job Description
Who you are
You have a foundational understanding of facility management, electrical systems, and mechanical systems — ideally, you have at least one year of experience in a related field. You are detail-oriented and capable of troubleshooting technical issues that arise in a data center environment. You are comfortable working in various locations within the data center, including server rooms and mechanical areas, and you understand the importance of maintaining uptime for customer applications.
Desirable
Experience with data center operations or a related technical field is a plus. Familiarity with AWS services and cloud computing principles will help you excel in this role. What you'll do
As a Facilities Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for the maintenance and management of electrical and mechanical systems within the data center. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that all equipment operates smoothly and efficiently, minimizing downtime for our customers. Your day-to-day tasks will include monitoring equipment performance, responding to equipment failures, and coordinating maintenance activities with external vendors.
