Who you are
You have a foundational understanding of finance and analytics, ideally with some experience in data collection and reporting. You are detail-oriented and capable of checking the consistency and accuracy of data, ensuring that reports are reliable and informative. You are comfortable using Excel and Word, and you are eager to learn how to utilize Amazon's internal tools to enhance your reporting capabilities.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with Finance Managers and other team members to align on tasks and priorities. You are adaptable and can manage varying workloads, especially during peak periods like Month End Closing. You are proactive in seeking ways to automate processes and improve efficiency, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
What you'll do
In this role, you will support the JP Program Finance team by collecting data from various sources and preparing monthly and quarterly business performance tracking reports. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the data you collect and will conduct ad hoc analyses as needed. Your role will involve documenting standard operating procedures to facilitate automation and offshoring of processes, contributing to the overall efficiency of the team.
You will participate in regular one-on-one meetings with Finance Managers to discuss tasks and priorities, ensuring that you are aligned with the team's goals. Your work will directly impact the team's ability to drive topline growth and improve profitability for the JP Retail business. You will also have the opportunity to develop your analytical skills through various reporting and auditing tasks, making this a great entry-level position for someone looking to grow in the finance field.
