Amazon is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to lead the production HR function for MGM Studios. You'll provide strategic HR support throughout the production lifecycle and ensure a positive work environment. This role requires significant experience in HR and employee relations.

Job Description

Who you are

You are an experienced HR professional with a strong background in supporting production teams. With a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience, you have a proven track record of making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders effectively. You understand the complexities of employee relations and are skilled in leading investigations while partnering with various departments to ensure compliance and a respectful workplace.

You have a deep understanding of the production lifecycle and can provide strategic HR support to production leadership, including Directors, Line Producers, and Showrunners. Your experience allows you to design and implement initiatives that enhance the personnel experience, ensuring that all team members feel valued and included. You are adept at analyzing data and trends related to employee relations, using this information to inform senior leadership and drive improvements.

Your ability to coach and partner with production leadership on HR matters is a key strength. You are committed to fostering a safe and positive work environment, and you take pride in ensuring that all productions adhere to training requirements related to respectful and harassment-free workplaces. You are also knowledgeable about employment law issues and work diligently to reduce legal risks for the organization.

Desirable

Experience in the entertainment industry or with production teams is a plus, as is familiarity with labor relations and compliance issues. You are proactive in your approach and are always looking for ways to improve processes and support your colleagues.

What you'll do

In this role, you will partner closely with production leadership to provide comprehensive HR support throughout the production lifecycle. You will lead complex employee relations investigations, collaborating with Legal, Labor Relations, and senior leadership to ensure that all matters are handled with care and professionalism. Your thought partnership will be invaluable as you coach production leaders and talent on HR matters, helping them navigate challenges and implement best practices.

You will design and implement proactive initiatives aimed at improving the experience of production personnel. This includes ensuring that all productions comply with required training on topics related to respectful workplaces and harassment prevention. You will analyze investigation data and trends, reporting your findings to senior leadership to inform decision-making and enhance the overall work environment.

Your role will also involve partnering with various internal teams, including Content, Production, Safety, and Employment Legal, to provide comprehensive support to production efforts. You will work closely with Labor Relations on labor-related matters, ensuring that all HR practices align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
