Who you are

You are an aspiring financial analyst with a keen interest in business metrics and financial performance indicators. You have at least 1 year of experience applying key financial KPIs to analyses, and you are comfortable using standard software tools such as Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA. Your analytical skills allow you to use data effectively to influence business decisions, and you have participated in continuous improvement projects that have yielded measurable results.

You understand the importance of building financial and operational reports that inform business decision-making. Your experience in corporate finance includes budgeting, planning, forecasting, and reporting, which equips you to support the finance leader effectively. You are detail-oriented and have a strong ability to define business and financial metrics that align with both worldwide reporting processes and local business needs.

What you'll do

As a Financial Analyst Intern at Amazon, you will support the Business and finance leader by producing and delivering financial analysis that facilitates corrective actions and informed decision-making. You will define business and financial metrics, considering both global reporting processes and local business needs. Your role will involve building a process to capture and analyze these metrics on a weekly basis, ensuring that the finance team has the insights needed to drive performance.

You will work closely with various stakeholders to gather data and insights, helping to shape the financial strategies of the organization. Your contributions will be crucial in identifying trends and providing actionable recommendations based on your analyses.
