Who you are
You have a strong background in operations management, with experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment. Your focus on safety, service quality, and customer experience drives your approach to managing operations effectively. You are skilled in using Lean tools to identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and efficiency.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively lead meetings, training sessions, and coordinate with Delivery Service Providers. Your ability to foster a safe and supportive work environment is paramount, ensuring that all associates are well-trained and equipped to meet their goals.
What you'll do
As a Shift Area Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the delivery station, overseeing operations that focus on delivering Amazon orders directly to customers. You will review operational forecasts and determine productivity requirements for sort operations, ensuring that your team meets all building goals.
You will lead a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers, assigning job duties and ensuring that all safety programs are adhered to. Your role will involve proactively identifying areas for process improvement and leading initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
You will be expected to communicate effectively with management representatives and drivers, addressing their needs and ensuring that they can focus on their jobs. Your leadership will be crucial in driving change at internet speed, contributing to Amazon's mission of being the most customer-centric company on earth.
