You are a detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to safety standards and inventory control. You thrive in a physically demanding role that requires flexibility and the ability to work in a 24/7 environment. Your strong communication skills enable you to effectively coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring that parts are delivered quickly and efficiently. You understand the importance of maintaining precise records and metrics dashboards to support operational excellence.
You have experience in logistics or a related field, and you are comfortable handling shipments and loading equipment with pallet jacks. Your ability to manage inbound shipments and control inventory accuracy is crucial for supporting build and repair activities in a fast-paced environment. You are proactive in resolving issues with procurement teams and vendors, optimizing parts flow through their lifecycle.
What you'll do
As a Logistics Specialist at Amazon, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels and managing the flow of parts across data center locations. You will ensure that stock levels meet service level requirements, contributing to the operational success of AWS's cloud computing infrastructure. Your role will involve coordinating with Data Center Operations Technicians to deliver parts quickly and efficiently, ensuring that AWS customers have continual access to cloud services.
You will manage inbound shipments, control inventory accuracy, and maintain precise records of all materials. Your responsibilities will include validating billing accuracy and maintaining metrics dashboards to track performance. You will also be expected to communicate regularly with internal teams and external vendors to resolve any issues that may arise. This position requires physical work, including lifting heavy objects and standing for prolonged periods, so a commitment to safety and attention to detail is essential.
