You have a strong background in machine learning and experience with large-scale training pipelines — you've designed and implemented distributed training systems that ensure scalability and efficiency. Your expertise includes fine-tuning state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLMs) for diverse applications, adapting them for new languages and domains through continued pre-training and reinforcement learning techniques.

You are proficient in optimizing AI models for deployment on specialized hardware — you understand how to leverage AWS Inferentia and Trainium, utilizing the AWS Neuron SDK to enhance performance. Your collaborative spirit shines as you work with a multidisciplinary team of strategists, scientists, and engineers to deliver innovative AI solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will drive the development of custom LLMs across various languages and domains, ensuring they meet the specific needs of AWS clients. You will be responsible for designing and implementing distributed training pipelines using tools like Fully Sharded Data Parallel (FSDP) and DeepSpeed, focusing on efficiency and scalability.

You will customize and fine-tune LLMs for new applications, employing techniques such as reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF) to enhance model performance. Your work will involve close collaboration with foundational model providers to optimize AI models specifically for Amazon Silicon, ensuring they deliver the best results for customers.

You will tackle end-to-end LLM training pipelines at massive scale, innovating at the forefront of AI technology.
