Who you are
You have a strong background in machine learning and compiler technologies, with at least 5 years of experience in developing and optimizing machine learning models. Your expertise includes working with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and MXNet, and you understand the intricacies of compiling neural network models for efficient execution on hardware.
You are proficient in AWS services and have experience with machine learning accelerators, particularly in optimizing performance for inference and training tasks. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by a collaborative mindset, allowing you to work effectively within a team of engineers and researchers.
Desirable
Experience with custom silicon development and a deep understanding of hardware-software co-design principles would be a plus. Familiarity with generative AI applications and their underlying technologies can enhance your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
As a Senior Machine Learning Compiler Engineer, you will be responsible for developing a deep learning compiler stack that translates neural network descriptions into optimized code for execution on AWS hardware. You will collaborate closely with the AWS Neuron team to enhance the performance of complex neural network models, ensuring they leverage the full capabilities of the Inferentia and Trainium chips.
You will engage in performance tuning and optimization, working on the integration of the AWS Neuron SDK with popular machine learning frameworks. Your role will involve analyzing model performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions that improve inference and training efficiency.
You will also contribute to the design and implementation of new features within the compiler stack, ensuring that it meets the evolving needs of AWS customers. Your insights will help shape the future of machine learning on AWS, driving innovation in the field.
