Amazon is hiring a Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead the technical team in providing maintenance services for operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Who you are

You have extensive experience in maintenance engineering, particularly in facilities management, where you've successfully led teams and managed multiple projects simultaneously. Your ability to develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans has significantly improved operational efficiency in your previous roles. You are skilled in troubleshooting and maintaining various electrical and mechanical systems, including relay logic, motor starters, and automation systems. Your leadership style emphasizes safety and team development, ensuring that your team is well-coached and motivated to achieve departmental goals.

You are proactive in your approach to maintenance, understanding that equipment availability directly impacts productivity and throughput. Your technical expertise allows you to act as an ambassador for safety, promoting best practices across the site. You thrive in environments where you can lead by example, ensuring that both reactive and proactive maintenance services are delivered effectively.

What you'll do

As a Senior Maintenance Engineer at Amazon, you will oversee the maintenance operations within the Fulfilment Centre, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are functioning optimally. You will provide supervision and leadership to Facility Supervisors, guiding them in their daily activities and project management. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing maintenance plans that enhance the reliability of material handling and automation systems.

You will be on call for emergencies, ready to respond to any equipment failures that may arise. Your role will require you to collaborate closely with outside contractors, ensuring that all maintenance work is completed to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for coaching and developing your team, focusing on performance management and continuous improvement.

In addition to leading the maintenance team, you will be involved in hands-on troubleshooting and repairs of various systems, including electronic sensors, servo drives, and mechanical components. Your technical knowledge will be crucial in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions that minimize downtime and enhance operational success.
