Who you are

You have a strong background in controls engineering, with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). You understand the complexities of data center operations and are familiar with various components such as generators, uninterruptable power sources, and cooling systems. Your project management skills allow you to effectively oversee the lifecycle of data center operations, ensuring that all systems function optimally.

You are adept at using Amazon leadership principles to innovate and develop new processes and standards in the controls space. Your technical expertise enables you to provide valuable training and assistance to internal customers and stakeholders, helping them design, configure, and operate BMS and EPMS systems. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with motivated experts in the data center industry.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis for BMS and EPMS related issues in AWS data centers. You will train and assist internal customers in the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of these systems. Your technical assistance will be crucial during the lifecycle of the data center, ensuring that all operations run smoothly.

You will review results and action items from quarterly maintenance for BMS and EPMS, taking necessary actions to resolve any issues. Your ability to innovate and improve processes will contribute significantly to the efficiency and reliability of the data center operations. You will collaborate with a team of experts, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance the overall performance of the controls systems.
