Amazon is hiring a Vendor Manager for their Global Purchasing Program to enhance direct imports into emerging countries. You'll work closely with top vendors and local category teams to optimize the import supply chain. Job Description
Who you are
You have experience in vendor management and supply chain processes, ideally within a global context. You possess strong stakeholder management capabilities and can work autonomously in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Your ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders of partnered vendors is key to your success in this role. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and can develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize customer experience.
What you'll do
In this role, you will support local category teams by working with top vendors around the world to increase direct imports into emerging countries. You will be responsible for supporting the import supply chain processes from manufacturer to availability in Fulfillment Centers. Your duties will include educating vendors on new country opportunities and building relationships with senior leaders of partnered vendors to support the joint import business. You will also contribute to the development of best practices and contract standards while liaising with local Vendor Managers to understand selection needs and standard contractual terms.
