What you'll do

As a Senior Network Software Engineer at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in the development of the Scalable Reliable Datagram (SRD) protocol, which is designed to enhance network performance within AWS. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to design, implement, and optimize networking solutions that support various AWS services, including Compute, Database, and Storage.

You will be responsible for analyzing network performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement. Your role will involve writing high-quality code, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will also engage with customers to understand their networking needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance their experience with AWS.

In addition to protocol development, you will contribute to the overall architecture of AWS networking services, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and secure. You will participate in design discussions and provide input on best practices for network software development.
