Overview

Amazon is hiring an Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end fulfillment center operations in Ahmedabad. You'll be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance while leading a team of Area Managers and associates.

Who you are

You have a strong background in operations management, with experience leading teams in a fulfillment center environment. You understand the importance of safety and quality in operations and have a proven track record of driving productivity and efficiency. Your leadership style fosters team development and employee engagement, ensuring that all associates feel valued and motivated.

You are adept at strategic planning and forecasting, with the ability to appraise performance and resolve problems effectively. You have experience interfacing with various support functions and are skilled at implementing best practices across teams. Your analytical mindset allows you to proactively identify process improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will ensure a safe work environment for all associates while leading and supervising a team of Area Managers and associates in Outbound Operations. You will be responsible for the overall safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance of the operations. Your strategic planning skills will be crucial as you review work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to meet building objectives.

You will interface with other Operations Managers to adopt best practices and lead cross-functional initiatives. Your role will involve carrying out machine planning periodically to address capacity constraints and ensure optimal resource allocation. You will also lead Annual Sale events from a capacity planning perspective, preparing for man, material, and machine requirements.
