Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and possess significant experience in operations management, ideally within a warehouse or fulfillment center environment. You are skilled in leading teams and have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding operational goals. Your ability to mentor and develop teammates is a key strength, and you thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You understand the importance of safety, quality, and performance in operations and are committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
You are adept at strategic planning and forecasting, with the ability to appraise performance and address staffing needs effectively. Your problem-solving skills enable you to resolve issues swiftly while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement. You are also capable of developing and sharing best practices across shifts and networks, ensuring that operational excellence is achieved consistently.
What you'll do
As the Operations Manager, you will lead and supervise a team of Area Managers and hourly associates in outbound and/or inbound operations for the night shift. You will be responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of your shift. Your role includes carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizationβs policies and procedures, ensuring that your team is motivated and equipped to meet operational challenges.
You will be accountable for meeting and exceeding operational goals, driving process improvements, and keeping pace with Amazon's explosive growth. Your strategic planning will involve appraising team performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and resolving problems as they arise. You will also mentor, train, and develop your teammates for career progression and learning, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
