Overview

Amazon is hiring an Operations Manager III to lead a large team focused on enhancing the Perfect Order Experience. You'll oversee operational metrics and drive improvements in fraud prevention and user experience. This role requires strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in operations management, particularly in a production environment, where you've successfully led large teams and driven results. Your ability to set clear goals and vision for your team is complemented by your strong decision-making skills, especially when it comes to balancing trade-offs that impact the bottom line. You understand the importance of employee growth and development, and you actively create mechanisms to support the next generation of leaders within your organization.

You are adept at managing business-level escalations and have a proven track record of interacting with customers and senior leadership. Your experience in overseeing operational metrics related to quality, productivity, and service levels makes you a valuable asset in any operational setting. What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a team of managers, overseeing approximately 200-250 employees, and be accountable for the operational metrics that define success in the Perfect Order Experience. You will leverage Amazon's industry-leading infrastructure to develop new points of control that minimize disruptions while ensuring a safe and efficient selling environment. Your responsibilities will include setting goals for your team, driving improvements in fraud prevention, and enhancing the perception of safety for users.

You will be responsible for managing escalations and ensuring that customer interactions are handled effectively. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the Product Quality Ops strategy across various forums within the organization. You will also play a key role in hiring and developing talent, ensuring that your team is equipped to meet the challenges of a dynamic operational landscape. Your ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders will be essential as you work towards achieving operational excellence.
