What you'll do

As the Cluster Operations Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing one or more Amazon Data Center Clusters, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will lead a team of operations managers, including compute operations managers and engineering operations managers, focusing on hiring, training, and developing talent within your team. Your role will involve setting and achieving organizational performance goals related to safety, security, availability, scaling, efficiency, and cost management. You will plan and execute the infrastructure operations component of new data center expansions, ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and controls systems are maintained effectively. You will manage vendor relationships to ensure that service providers meet or exceed contracted performance SLAs. Additionally, you will be responsible for incident management, responding to safety and security incidents, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes and tools.
