You have a strong background in program management, ideally with experience in quality management and process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma and PMP. You are a dynamic and organized individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, capable of engaging teams to solve complex customer problems. Your ability to benchmark processes across various business units globally is a key asset, and you are comfortable with travel, as this role requires up to 60% regional travel. You are also willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office, demonstrating your commitment to the role and the company.
You possess excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, allowing you to identify and implement best practices that minimize process variability. Your experience in defining and executing processes within the construction lifecycle will be invaluable as you work to achieve excellence in quality management. You are adept at driving speed, quality, and simplification in operations, ensuring that rework loops are eliminated and manual work is reduced through automation.
Desirable
Experience in the construction or engineering sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with global operations and cross-functional collaboration. You are a proactive communicator, able to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders. Your leadership skills enable you to inspire and motivate teams to embrace continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of excellence within the organization.
What you'll do
In this role, you will play a critical part in defining processes within the Preconstruction and Construction Execution team at Amazon. You will benchmark processes across facility and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with Amazon's values and technology. Your responsibilities will include utilizing industry-standard methodologies to engage teams in solving customer problems, driving speed and quality by eliminating inefficiencies and implementing best practices.
You will collaborate closely with various business units to ensure that quality management processes are consistently applied and continuously improved. Your role will involve analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring team members on Lean Six Sigma principles and project management best practices, ensuring that the team is equipped to meet the challenges of a fast-paced environment.
As a Program Manager, you will lead initiatives that focus on reducing process variability and enhancing the overall quality of construction projects.
