Amazon is seeking a Project Manager to oversee new build infrastructure and expansion projects in their Global Engineering, Maintenance, & Sustainability organization. This role requires strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple vendors and resources effectively.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a proven track record in project management, particularly in overseeing medium to large capital projects. Your experience includes managing complex projects with accelerated schedules, ensuring that timelines are met and budgets are adhered to. You are adept at leading teams and coordinating resources to achieve project goals, and you thrive in environments that require strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to interface effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Your ability to influence and drive decisions is key to your success in managing projects across multiple organizations. You are comfortable with nationwide travel, as this role requires up to 80% travel to various project sites.
You are results-oriented and have a strong focus on achieving project objectives while driving standardization within the organization. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and encourages team members to contribute to the success of the project.
Desirable
Experience in the engineering, maintenance, or sustainability sectors is a plus. Familiarity with construction processes and project management methodologies will enhance your ability to succeed in this role.
What you'll do
As a Project Manager at Amazon, you will oversee the execution of new build infrastructure and expansion projects within the Global Engineering, Maintenance, & Sustainability organization. You will manage the entire project lifecycle, from planning and resource allocation to execution and delivery. Your role will involve coordinating with various vendors and stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
You will partner with other program managers to secure resources and set project priorities, driving delivery and ensuring that all team members are aligned with project goals. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining project schedules, managing communications, and addressing any blockers that may arise during the project.
You will influence the design and development of strategic processes, working closely with program managers and business leaders to communicate critical business initiatives. Your ability to clear obstacles and escalate issues as needed will be essential in maintaining project momentum.
