Job Description
Who you are
You have a proven track record in project management, particularly in overseeing infrastructure projects. Your experience includes managing small to medium capital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. You excel at coordinating resources and leading teams, demonstrating strong leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
You are comfortable with significant travel, as this role requires up to 80% nationwide travel. You are adaptable and willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office, ensuring you can effectively manage projects across various locations.
Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to interface with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You are adept at driving decisions and clearing blockers to maintain project momentum. You understand the importance of standardization and strive to implement best practices across your projects.
Desirable
Experience in the operations or engineering sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with sustainability initiatives. You may have a background in managing complex projects that involve multiple vendors and stakeholders, which will be beneficial in this role.
What you'll do
As a Project Manager at Amazon, you will oversee the execution of new build infrastructure and expansion projects within the GEMS organization. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the coordination of resources and ensure that projects are delivered successfully. You will partner with other program managers to secure resources, set project priorities, and drive delivery.
You will own program communication, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle. Your role will involve influencing the design and development of strategic processes, working closely with program managers and business leaders to communicate critical business initiatives.
You will be responsible for managing the schedules of multiple vendors simultaneously, ensuring that all parties are aligned and working towards common goals. Your ability to navigate complex organizational structures will be key to your success in this role.
