Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree and a foundational understanding of QA methodology and tools. You are familiar with software-testing techniques, such as equivalence class partitioning, and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to identifying discrepancies in software builds. You are comfortable communicating results and escalating issues as needed, ensuring that all test cases are executed accurately and on time.
You thrive in a structured environment where you can follow established testing procedures and guidelines. Your ability to perform regression and repetitive testing exercises will help qualify builds without compromising quality. You understand the importance of capturing results and providing individual status reports to keep the team informed.
What you'll do
As a Device Associate at Amazon, you will execute test cases prepared for testing software builds, ensuring that all instructions are followed meticulously. You will perform test case execution and accurately report any bugs or discrepancies you encounter. Your role will involve understanding the testing procedures and guidelines for new builds and releases, allowing you to contribute effectively to the quality assurance process.
You will engage in regression and repetitive testing exercises to qualify builds, maintaining high standards of quality throughout the testing lifecycle. Utilizing software tools for data capture on a daily basis will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will raising any failures or doubts related to the execution of test cases in the clarification portal. You will work to close these issues in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
