Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in mechanical quality control execution, demonstrating a strong ability to manage quality standards in large-scale infrastructure projects. Your background includes leading technical quality initiatives and collaborating across functions to ensure compliance with quality control methodologies. You thrive in environments that require attention to detail and a hands-on approach to quality management, particularly in mechanical equipment build quality and Off-Site Assembly oversight.
Your expertise extends to developing and implementing quality control programs that drive standardization and enhance quality across multiple sites. You have a proven track record of overseeing vendor performance and ensuring that quality standards are consistently met in fast-paced environments. You are adept at navigating complex challenges and possess excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders.
Desirable
Experience with data center deployments and familiarity with AWS build regions is a plus. You are comfortable working in a technical role that requires both field oversight and strategic planning. Your ability to lead teams and mentor junior engineers will be invaluable in this position.
What you'll do
In this role, you will serve as the technical lead for day-to-day quality management activities within the Integrated Project Quality Program. You will execute detailed technical quality control work, ensuring that all mechanical equipment meets the required standards before deployment. Your responsibilities will include managing vendor performance across Off-Site Assembly facilities and data center deployments in North and South America.
You will establish and drive quality control methodologies that align with AWS standards, focusing on continuous improvement and risk mitigation. Your hands-on approach will involve performing field oversight to verify compliance with quality control processes and standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective quality management strategies that enhance project delivery.
You will also be responsible for documenting quality control processes and outcomes, providing insights and recommendations for future projects. Your role will require you to stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into AWS's quality control framework. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of quality within the organization, ensuring that all team members understand and adhere to quality standards.
